This weekend, sporting goods and apparel store REI soft-opened its first Manhattan store a little ahead of its scheduled Friday launch date, in a 39,000-square-foot location at 303 Lafayette Street. But it does more than just sell backpacks and tents: Bowery Boogie reports that there's a quick-stop bike repair station on the store's main level and a full-service garage in the basement. One stop shopping, whether you're planning a wintery mountainside getaway or you just need your bike tuned up.
