A few months back, we reported on what we considered to be a pretty speculative article from WWD on Dolce and Gabbana's plans to move to 715 Fifth Avenue, which at the time, was home to Escada. Turns out, Escada has moved out of its Fifth Avenue spot and into Valentino's space at 747 Madison Avenue. The move is only temporary though, and they'll be opening up at their permanent location on East 55th Street once the store is ready. Valentino, now, has told us that they've temporarily moved to the Regency Hotel on Park Avenue, and will move back to Madison Avenue near their old store in December. It had been rumored that they'd be leaving 747 Madison when their lease was up.

Even though Dolce and Gabbana have yet to make a statement on the move, the Shophound says they are "definitely" heading to Escada's old spot, and that "an involved party" has confirmed the move. We can't imagine that Dolce and Gabbana would give up their Madison home at 69th Street, so the most likely alternative is that they've decided they want a store on Fifth Avenue, too.
