Most ads for "mystery shoppers" are just scams, but when Consumer Reports comes calling, you know it's legit. The magazine is looking for people in New York State to make undercover purchases, and they'll pay you to shop. Granted, this isn't a full-time job, but in terms of earning some extra holiday-season cash, it might be more fun than dressing up as one of Santa's helpers. Head to Consumerist for more details.
