CNET Gotham Takes Over Nolita's Openhouse Gallery

It won't be long before the city is crawling with holiday pop-up shops, but tech site CNET is getting a jump on the action with a pre-Thanksgiving temporary store. The showcase opened yesterday at Openhouse Gallery, home to some of the best pop-up shops in recent years. Guys will remember the space from the Pop-Up Flea, but now the butcher aprons and and plaid shirts have been replaced by digital cameras, gaming systems, and other gadgets. (See the list of featured products here.)

CNET has set up the space with exhibits in the form of real-world settings: There's a living-room, a den, and a café showcasing the toys. They're also offering a ton of shopping advice, from boot camps to interactive demos. If you've ever wanted to try out a 3D TV, for example, now's your chance. Check out the site for full lists of daily events, including Nolita photo tours hosted by Adobe experts. Those start early in the morning, so it's a good thing the pop-up also offers one major non-tech perk: Free coffee courtesy of Energizer.
