Knitting Party in Soho; More Details on Marching Kiehl's Products

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

SOHO—This Thursday, November 3, the fashionable crafters behind Wool and the Gang are hosting "Knit Night." Stop by their boutique at 98 Thompson Street from 6pm to 9pm to get help with knitting and shop the fall/winter collection at 10% off. This is an event for people with all levels of knitting experience, so feel free to bring half-finished projects that could use a little expert-level love. Just RSVP to so that they know you're coming. [RackedWire]

WEST VILLAGE—Remember the tube of Kiehl's hand cream from the Halloween Parade gallery? Turns out he (she?) was just one of many official Kiehl's mascots marching last night. Our photographer reports that they were being followed by a group of girls yelling "Sexy soap! Sexy soap!" [RackedWire]
