New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. New York-based photographer Mike Ruiz is known for taking photos of scantily clad men with perfect abs, but that doesn't mean his body of work stops there. He's produced videos for talent like Kelly Rowland, and in addition to his starring role on the Logo series The A List, he's lent his mug to shows like Kathy Griffin's My Life on the D-List, America's Next Top Model and RuPaul's Drag Race. His favorite New York shop: A little space in the Lower East Side that houses all his favorite brands from across the pond.
I love Any Old Iron on the Lower East Side because they carry designers and one of a kind pieces that I've only seen in London shops. Also, the owner is the nicest guy I've ever met and, for me that is the most important factor in deciding where I will spend money.· Any Old Iron [Official Site]
