As if life-size models' measurements weren't unobtainable enough, designers are now wrapping their goods around the original princess of impossible dimensions: Barbie. But it's for charity—specifically, a charity that's geared toward supporting fashion students—so we'll take it!
Back on Fashion's Night Out, a Barbie bus shuttled shoppers around to stores on a doll clothing scavenger hunt. Find the pint-sized outfit, and you could win the adult-sized version. Now, the dolls are being auctioned off. The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) benefits from bids on five Barbies dressed in Tracy Reese, Alice + Olivia, Alexis Bittar, Loomstate, and Rogan.
You have until Tuesday, October 11th to throw down $500 or more. The estimated value of each doll rounds out at $3000, making them the most expensive pint-sized looks since Vivienne Westwood bejeweled some dogs.—Kenzie Bryant
