L'Occitane's newest boutique has just opened up on the Upper East Side at 86th Street between Third and Lexington Avenues, and inside of it you'll find a Citroën 2CV car—the kind that the company's founder, Olivier Baussan, used while selling soap and essentials oils in the Provence markets. The store focuses on the brand's heritage (it is, after all, the 35th anniversary) so there's lots of reclaimed vintage furniture as well as authentic Provencal décor.
There are Skincare and Hair Care Consultation areas, as well as other signature services, and to celebrate the opening, L'Occitane will be giving out complimentary hand massages, mini-facials, foot soaks, and more all week. They're also dishing out French treats to snack on. If you stop by this weekend, you can even get your face painted for Halloween and do some trick or treating.
