Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
LA consignment powerhouse Decades pops up in New York City twice a year, bringing with them a full closet's worth of luxury goods sourced from starlets and their stylists. They usually set up camp above Kiki de Montparnasse in Soho, but this time around, they're doing things a little differently.
Tomorrow and Saturday, co-owners Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos will take over Lisa Perry's E.76th Street shop and Soho House in the Meatpacking District. Uptown, Cameron will be selling classic Decades designer pieces, including vintage. Downtown, Christos will preside over a selection of leather, stilettos, and other more MePa-appropriate looks. Both spaces will also offer shoppers the chance to place an order for Miriam Haskell's "Uptown/Downtown" jewelry collection.
The Lisa Perry pop-up will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm Friday and Saturday, but the Soho House shop is invitation-only. Luckily, we've wrangled 25 spots on the guest list—with plus-ones—for Soho House on Saturday, which happens to be when Christos is running his $150 shoe sale. The sale runs from 11am to 7pm, and if it's anything like previous years, it should be a designer bounty. Want to go? Just be one of the first 25 people to email decadestworsvp@gmail.com with the subject line "Decades loves Racked." (They picked it! We're blushing.) If you're in, you'll get a response by noon tomorrow.
