Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Thought the line outside the Jil Sander sale might subside after the morning rush? Think again. A Racked correspondent has been waiting for two full hours in the queue on Crosby Street, and she's still not quite in.
By the way, while the official mailer for the sale does include the phrase "This invitation is non-transferable," you don't actually need an invite to get in. Another spy tells us she had no trouble at the door. Also: "It's actually quite good, they have the black/neon and black/tan shift dresses, a lot of the neon collection and great basics."
