Apple released the iPhone 4S this morning, but the scene outside Fifth Avenue store circa 8:30am was nothing compared with the massive lines we saw when the last update came out. About 100 people waited in a queue that snaked around the patio next to the boarded-up cube. They drank free coffee and watched as Apple employees admitted customers in groups of 15 at a time, applauding as they entered the store. One woman towards the front of the line told us that she'd arrived 45 minutes earlier. "This is like waiting in line at Disneyland," she said. By the time she'd finished her sentence, it was time for her to pick up her phone.
