Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Marc Jacobs empire is growing, as Robert Duffy, MJ's International President, just confirmed what we've all been speculating: The brand is headed uptown, snagging a spot on Madison Avenue which happens to be the Chase Manhattan Bank. The Shophound sounds fairly sure that we're talking about the 64th Street location, but of course, that's still TBA.

The opening won't be happening anytime soon, as the legals and logistics are still being worked out (they are taking over a bank, after all), but it's been a space Duffy has had his keen eye on for quite some time—four years, to be exact. As he tells WWD: "There's only been one tenant in that space for 93 years. Once I find a space, I never give up on the space". And he stayed true to his word. Looks like even one of the largest financial institutions couldn't stand in Robert Duffy's way.
