Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Italian bootmaker Fiorentini + Baker, who opened a quick pop-up in Soho for the holidays, has now moved in for good at 54 Mercer. The store opened on Friday, January 28th, and now awaits boot lovers of all sorts (except for these two, who are not welcome). The shop is easy to find, thanks to signage on a sidewalk shed where the fabulous F + B have tacked up their name on the plywood above the entry. Fiorentini and friend are situated on Mercer south of Broome, just below where James Perse is setting up shop and around the corner from where Buckler has its own assortment of rough and tumble footwear.

The new Fiorentini + Baker slot is where jeweler Lazaro once offered rad rings and such. Climb a couple of steps and inside is a stylishy funky space. There's plenty of room to browse and take in the assortment of bootage so loved by movie stars and others.
