agnès b. Soho is Totally Très Tard

Mon dieu! The return of the French fashion label to Soho has been a slow one and the wait continues still, but when the new space on Howard Street between Broadway and Mercer Street opens eventually, it should be worth our patience.

Although the plywood predicts a January 2011 opening, it's pretty obvious that's not happening. Nu uh. Instead we'd guess spring. The space is large and ideally located just off the hustle and bustle of Broadway, with within easy spitting distance of Opening Ceremony, which, if you know anything about both brand's demographics, is a very fortunate thing indeed.

We have high hopes for agnès b. Soho, and we truly, truly hope that the long delay in opening is due to them bringing a little something extra to the US. Like, do you know that agnès b. has a popular cafe in Hong Kong called Le Pain Grille, as well as the chocolate shop Delices? Now wouldn't the Howard Street space be perfect for such a Frenchified fashion cafe? Croiser les doigts!
