Expect More Theory than Helmut Lang at the Duo's Sample Sale

The Theory and Helmut Lang sample sale in Soho opens to the public tomorrow morning at 8am, but it's already being shopped by Gilt City users who bought tickets to the two-day VIP preview. One such user has already filed a Sample Sally report. Her verdict: Go for the Theory, not the Lang.

There are nearly 24 racks of clothing, says Sally, but only two of them hold items from Helmut Lang—some of which look familiar from previous sample sales. Helmut Lang denim is always a winner, though, and at $69, the leggings jeans are pretty affordable. As for the Theory merchandise, it ranges from $29 for tees to $229 for leather, with sweaters clocking in at $99. The sale also includes a couple other labels, including Gryphon, AG jeans, and J Brand cargos and denim.

According to our spies, yesterday's preview was packed. We're very curious to see what's left when the sale goes public tomorrow—does buying early admittance really pay off?
