Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Kinky-luxe lingerie brand Agent Provocateur is on a mission to get at least twice as many Americans into its knickers over the next three years. The expansion plan includes a new Rodeo Drive boutique and a line of sunglasses with spectacle queen Linda Farrow, but it beings with the new New York City flagship, which opened across the street from Barneys last week.

The new space, which used to be a temporary Jimmy Choo. occupies two stories and 2,500 square feet. According to WWD, it has "double-height windows, mirror-paneled walls, a 'hosiery library' and a conservatory at the back." Whatever the hosiery library might look like, it's clearly a genius idea. (It's also the new name of our sock drawer.) Shoppers can already stop by for frilly underthings, but the store will open officially with a launch party during Fashion Week.
