Here's some big news to end the week: Barneys has hired Amanda Brooks, a fashion consultant and a writer, to be their VP Women's Fashion Director. Brooks is the author of I Love Your Style; most recently, she was the fashion director of William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. At Barneys, she'll be faced with the challenge of following much-loved and highly-experienced women's fashion head Julie Gilhart, who left after new CEO Mark Lee began shaking things up back in November. Head to Racked National for more information and the full press release.
