Take a Snow Day to Shop the Space NK Sale

For those of you "working from home" on yet another snow day, we highly suggest embarking on a shopping jaunt to Soho to enjoy the rare occurrence of small crowds (even the perpetually congested Uniqlo was disturbingly quiet) and the monster Space NK sale, which kicked off early this morning. There are tons of stock of current and discontinued high-end, cult beauty products (think Tocca, Marc Jacobs, Jurlique, Eve Lom, Darphin and the Space.NK house brand) all marked up 75% off. Even around lunchtime, the shop was nice and quiet allowing for a relaxing and zen perusal of the discounted goods.

A sampling of the sale highlights includes Tocca solid perfumes for $15, an Eve Lom skincare five-piece skincare set for $90 and a travel set, pouch included, for $40, a Darphin four-piece set for $37.50, a Claudalie five-item set with pouch for $7.50 and a Nude three-piece essential collection set for $30. The Marc Jacobs fragrance items (form men and women) range from $11 to $62 (full price list in the photo gallery), for a holiday gift set.

One note of caution: For the skincare items, make sure to check the expiration date. We saw a Jurlique foaming cleanser (on sale for $20) that expires in a few months.

For the shoppers who were disappointed by the makeup offerings from the last sale, good news. By Terry sale items have returned. There are a bunch of Lip Expert glosses for $17 and the prices top out at $57 for a curious-sounding Cheek Brush Stencil. Even more exciting on the lip color front: There are a couple Lipstick Queen gloss sets. The Peacock Alley three-gloss set is $19 and the Five Minutes of Fame five-gloss set is $14. Of course the Sonia Kashuk makeup items are on sale, too, starting at $2 per piece.

Overall, though the best deals of the sale are on the Space NK label gift sets left from the holiday season. The seven-piece Tuberoli, Santalrosa and Champaca sets are $5 for two sets! (Granted, the boxes are a bit beat up, but you could keep the items you'd like—like the candle—and repackage the rest as gifts. Shhhh). A Laughter mini-candle and eau de cologne set is an insane $2 and men's Blue gift sets (shave cream, cologne and body wash) are just $5 each.

The friendly staffers were passing out shopping bags for shoppers to peruse and stock up. And we kept seeing them unload more product onto the tables as we shopped. Head over today before the snow melts and the crowds return.
