Double good news for vintage lovers: The Marmalade Vintage and Girls Love Shoes pop-up shop is definitely staying open in its temporary Mott Street space until at least the spring and right now they're throwing a big honkin' sale offering 20% to 80% off all fall and winter items. To make room for all the spring inventory, the vintage duo needs to unload lots of carefully selected (note we did not say c*rated) vintage pieces, such as capes, furs, sweaters, sweater dresses, and more.
The one-of-a-kind pieces include a silk, leopard-print Norma Kamali dress ($75 from $225), a wool Oscar de la Renta frock ($60 from $225), a sexy red power Claude Montana suit ($85 from $350), and a rainbow striped glam-grunge Steven Burrows turtleneck ($50 from $125). Non-designer name but retro-chic bargains include a straight up 80's white fox fur chubby jacket ($275 from $365) and a collection of beaded disco-era party tops ($45 from $105).
The sale will run through the weekend of February 5th and then the spring merchandise will roll in. (Will vintage rompers make an appearance for another season?) One housekeeping note: The shop is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday through Sunday 1pm to 7pm. Expect the pop-up to grace the Mott and Broome Streets corner at least until it's warm out. As Marmalade owner Hannah Kurland puts it, "It's 'Marmalade Vintage and Girls Love Shoes Ongoing Boutique' at this point!"
