Yesterday, BuzzFeed reminded us of an excellent New York City Flickr group dedicated to a crucial New York City resource: The bodega cat. As a fascinating New York Times article pointed out a while ago, cats are technically illegal in convenience stores, but owners tend to ignore the threat of a $300 fine for having them because the penalty for a rodent infestation is also $300. If you're going to have to pay either way, why not choose the option that involves fewer rats and more cuteness? Please enjoy some of our favorite bodega furballs in the slideshow above.
