The Art of Shaving, which sells nothing but carefully-crafted men's grooming products, just signed a deal for a space on Broadway between W. 75th and W. 76th Streets. The spot, which clocks in at 730 square feet plus a storage basement, makes the sixth location for the line. And their empire-building is just getting started: According to the broker who helped arrange the deal, The Art of Shaving is also looking for new locations on Wall Street and in Soho and Union Square. Why now? Crain's suggests that as the recession begins to ease up, men have begun to show renewed interest in shaving products other than Gillette. It's like the opposite of the lipstick indicator!
