SOHO—Seize sur Vingt is about to start hosting their Education Cocktail Series—well-lubricated lessons on the luxury business. First up is a class on the humble shirt-fastener with master button maker Paolo Gritti of the Gritti Group. Running from 7pm to 9pm this Thursday, the event will feature drinks from Berkshire Mountain Distillers and the answer to such age-old questions as "Will I be OK if I swallow a shirt button?" (Seize promises the answer is "more interesting than you think.") RSVP to nyc@16sur20.com. [Racked Inbox]
FINANCIAL DISTRICT—A reader reports serious scores in the children's section of Century 21, which is in the midst of a big clearance sale: "I scored a great green ruffle jacket for my five-year-old daughter. KID by Philip Lim. It's so cute! Half off the C21 price, which was $69.99. The original price was $325. I got it for $35 bucks! There were still about six or seven more, with tissue sewn into the ruffles to maintain the shape. I also saw two cropped trenches, one pink and one blue, for the same price. Adorable and so chic!"
