Today, The Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation has revealed the seven New York-based designers who now have an extra $25,000 under their belt. Each year, the EDFF awards the grant to innovative and emerging designers to put towards a fashion runway show in NYC when NYFW hits next month. The winners fall into the categories of womenswear, menswear, accessories, and sustainable designs and are as follows.
· Bibhu Mohapatra
· The Lake & Stars (designed by Maayan Zilberman and Nikki Dekker)
· M. Patmos (by Marcia Patmos)
· Mandy Coon
· Native Son (designed by Kyle Fitzgibbons)
· Pamela Love
· Study NY (designed by Tara St. James)
These winners have big shoes to fill, as they are following in the steps of last years recipients such as Prabal Gurung, Joseph Altuzarra, and Siki Im. The winners will each receive their respective bling at a February 3rd event coined "Decade of Design." Many congrats to the lucky seven, as this year, the EDFF received more than 165 applications. Let's toast all together now, to the 25K you didn't have yesterday!
