Back in May, we reported that East Village mainstay Fab 208 would be leaving its current space at 75 E. 7th Street for a smaller home across the street at 72 E. 7th Street. Timing was dependent on when the original space could be rented out (at a higher rent, we assume) and now that day has come. Co-owner, Alan Smith confirms that the store will be moving out at the end of October and the target opening date of the new space is November 1st or 2nd. In anticipation, he's already painted the new storefront with the signature neon pink and black Dalmatian spots.
Until the big move, shoppers can still enjoy the sale with selected items marked $40 and under. Alan says that there are reworked vintage dresses and Fab 208 original dresses for $40, t-shirts and tanks (some with studs, too) for $20 and cut-offs for $29. The new space will be smaller, but still expect the same stock Fab 208 pieces as usual, plus the always lively company of owners, Alan and Jo.
