Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's easy to forget that Gargyle has never really had a full-fledged boutique, but up until recently the indie designer staple made do with an active website supported by a showroom on the corner of Orchard and Canal. Last week, though, the space at 16a Orchard unveiled a sleek new makeover, and now it's open to the public seven days a week from 11am to 7pm. "We all but gutted our store and rebuilt it from the ground up—literally," write the owners on their blog. Architect Huy Bui held onto Gargyle's original country club concept but added an urban minimalist spin. Check out the photos above—looks good, no?
