If you are planning on doing anything athletic this winter, your Soho options for sportswear have just increased. New Zealand-based performance wear company Icebreaker will be opening a flagship on Wooster Street between Spring and Prince. The store, which opens the first week of December, will be located just steps from The North Face and Patagonia, and will also compete with Eastern Mountain Sports on Broadway and a new REI store at the Puck building. In other words, what used be a quick trip downtown for a generic fleece pullover will now become an all-day winter sportswear shopping extravaganza that may involve purchasing multiple fleece pullovers in different colors and styles, and after not being able to decide between the Icebreaker Expedition Weight G320 and the North Face TKA 200 Kimber Full-Zip, possibly a frustrated trip to Moncler.—Molly Vu
