Spike Jonze did not, in fact, perform with a real live musical bear at Opening Ceremony last night. The "bear" promised on the invitation turned out to be the artist Marcel Dzama in a bear suit. Marcel Dzama is pretty lovable, though, so we're willing to accept this fake-out, especially because he apparently "managed to growl his way through a Bob Dylan cover at Jonzes' request."
