Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The world's first and only Wonka candy store just opened in Times Square, and while it doesn't appear to be staffed by Oompa Loompas, it's still about as close to the movies as you can get without running the risk of turning into a giant blueberry.

Set inside Toys "R" Us, which has a longstanding relationship with the Wonka company, the store sells bulk candy out of mushroom-shaped displays while the piped-in scent of chocolate wafts through the air. It's located next to the exit—the better to lure customers on their way out—and dominated by 21-foot tree made of pixy stix and kazoozles (which are basically Twizzers with a filling.) Bonus for truly devoted candy nerds: The shop carries Wonka's brand new Exceptionals line of chocolate, including the new Scrumdiddlyumptious Chocolate Bar.
