EAST VILLAGE—The Giant Robot store closed today after six years of selling art on E. 9th Street between Avenue A and First Avenue. It has been survived by its siblings in Los Angeles and San Francisco. NEW YORK—Racked National sat down with Michael Bastian to discuss his line for Gant. He says he likes to think of the collection's ideal customer as a 22-year-old who just got his first job. "Everything you wore in college just looks stupid, just doesn't work. You kind of have to get the navy jacket, the grey flannel pants, a collection of shirts and ties for hanging out with friends and going on dates. You're still yourself, but your life's changed significantly. I wanted to aim it at that guy." [RNA]
