Cintra Wilson's look at the new Reed Krakoff boutique on Madison Avenue—the designer's first store—is a good old-fashioned takedown. "It’s interesting to witness the stupendously splashy introduction of a designer who might not make it through the first five eliminations on a season of 'Project Runway,'" she writes. "It feels ... awkward." One outfit makes a mannequin look like a crash-test dummy, she notes; another made Karlie Kloss look "like the box her dishwasher came in." [NYT]
