Above the Fray

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It sounds like we were sorely remiss in overlooking this week's two-day Milly and Free People sale at Clothingline. Writes a Racked informer: "Snapped up velvet Milly skirts with scalloped edges for $39—looks like samples from Fashion Week. Some pieces are marked with masking tape from the PR agency LaForce Stevens. This is a brand that is almost never on sale anywhere and costs more even at consignment shops, so it's worth dealing with the clothing-hanger-stalking staff at Clothingline who will report you to the manager if you do not hang up every single item and place it back on the rack. (Guilty.) For $39 for skirts and sweaters and a cool camel trench—in leather—take the risk!" The sale runs today and tomorrow through 7pm; more details here. [Racked Inbox; Clothingline]
