Starting this fall, the little creature on Original Penguin's polos will only be the company's second-best feature. For the next two seasons, the heritage brand will be teaming up with beloved designer Richard Chai to form a collaborative line called, unsurprisingly, Richard Chai for Original Penguin. Launching at Fashion Week later this month, Chai will debut nine different styles ranging from polos to cardigans (costing just above $100), and will grow to offer four times as many products for the Fall 2011 season, venturing into outerwear, sweaters and pants. They may be intended to be worn by men, but there is nothing stopping us from calling those cozy cardigans our own. [WWD, subscription req'd]
