Runway Passport, which is like the Style.com for international indie fashion, is kicking off a monthly events series this Friday at Panda NYC on the Lower East Side. Runway Passport describes itself as "a new site dedicated to bridging the gap to previously inaccessible Fashion Weeks and designers from across the globe." Sounds good to us.
Dubbed the September Collective, the event will be a networking and community event for anyone in the indie fashion world: Designers, photographers, stylists, you name it. Basically, if you're interested in independent and cutting-edge fashion, they want you. The party will also be a chance to chat with three apparel designers: Felicia Jackson, Autumn Kietponglert of Autumn Lin Design, Anna Kurz of Inima (which we also spotted at We the People Fashion Collective) and two accessories designers: Kerrie Yeung and Lauren Wimmer.
In case you need further enticement to be an eager beaver and arrive when it starts, there is a Happy Hour running until 9pm and offering $2 PBRs and two-for-one cocktails.
If you register and RSVP for the event before Friday, September 17 through this link, you'll also be entered into a raffle to win a one-of-a-kind item from one of the aforementioned designers. Just one note: The event starts at 7:30pm, not 7pm as listed on the event page.
