Hot Off the Presses: $45 Designer Tees at the Style.com Pop-Up

The Style.com 10th Anniversary pop-up opened about half an hour late this afternoon, which we suppose is apropos to Fashion Week, where that sort of timing is the norm. A gaggle of giggly and excited ladies were lined up eagerly anticipating the ten custom designed t-shirts from super hot designers: Alexander Wang, Balmain, Calvin Klein, Christopher Kane, Givenchy, Lanvin, Prada, Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens and Rodarte.

For just $45, you could own a piece of design heaven, but there's just one little (literally) catch—the shirts only come in sizes small and medium. Although staffers do promise that they come in a roomy fit.

Each of the designers came up with their own interpretation of the "X" (roman numeral for 10, get it?). Alexander Wang stuck with the minimal with two ziz-zag stitched X's (with one loose end), Lanvin (we're just guessing that's a hot seller) is a colorful and whimsical cartoon drawing similar to the totes and Rodarte went all out with an adorable x-marks-the-spots map of hometown Santa Cruz. Some of the designer name signs under the drawings were missing around start time, but hopefully that's fixed by now. No matter though, most shoppers seemed to already know which one they wanted anyway because they just shot right up to the checkout trailer.

So each design is a limited edition with just 400 each. Today, the pop-up only carries 1000 t-shirts total (even number across each design), so if you have your heart set on a specific one, better head on down there now. If you miss your chance today, then the rest of the stock (if there's any left) will be online tomorrow. The pop-up is open until 9pm and leave the cash at home because they only take credit. Roughly seven more hours and counting....
