Filene's Basement and SYMS are set to open a joint shop near Bryant Park called, of all things, fbSY. The two companies, which have been corporate partners for a year now, will be bringing their discount wares to the corner of Fifth Avenue and 43rd Street next Spring. Discount designer goods are where it's at, but we'd be much more excited to shop if the store's name didn't sound like what second graders call each other when they cheat on a math test. [NY Post]
