Rudy Giuliani's daughter Caroline, who was caught stealing from Sephora earlier this summer, received her sentence today. Like many first-time shoplifters, she was assigned to one day of community service and told that her record will become clean in six months if she behaves herself. As the Village Voice blog Runnin' Scared pointed out, though, there's another punishment built in: The humiliation of having the entire city read in the paper that one of the things she stole was a hair net.
