If the idea of digging through racks to find something you like and hovering over a shared mirror sounds like shopping hell to you, then Kiki de Montparnasse's relaxed sample sale might be just the stop.
Housed in a second floor boudoir-like room, the sale has bras available in a variety of textures and colors that run $45 a pop. The panties piled in bins are only $18 a pair, meaning you can leave the sale with two full lingerie sets and a bra for less than one of the shop's full-price bras, which cost around $200 each. Come for the discounted undergarments only, though—some $45 tops were damaged, and loungewear, listed at $65, was limited.
With a bevvy of options (lace! satin! ruffles!) and an assortment of miscellaneous items like books, garters, bath products and toys ranging from $5 to $65, Kiki's sale seems to be on par with La Perla's, but nowhere near as nutso. Best of all, prices will likely be slashed before the sale ends this Wednesday, Sept 1.
After all, if you're going to be bogged down with turtlenecked layers all-too-soon, might as well have something fun to wear beneath them.
