Velita, the brand and store, got its start in 2009 on Sullivan Street in the south Village but has recently moved east to a new home in Soho. The store, which held an official launch party last week, replaced Linda Derector's eyewear shop at 211 Mott Street. It focuses on neat and tailored workplace looks—a well-cut pencil skirt for an important interview, a silk dress to keep cool on a daily commute, a blazer to keep warm in the frigid office. We especially liked the fully lined silk Blazer SIlk Dress ($385) for its versatile side pickets and flattering tulip skirt.—Joann Pan
