Last night, Eater NY got a tour of Mario Batali's massive food shop Eataly, which opens August 31st in the Flatiron District. Eataly has both sit-down dining spaces and individual retail departments, but given the size and the scope, it's almost reductive to call it a food court or a grocery store (Batali himself says it's a "temple" where "food is more sacred than commerce.") Click through for a ton of photos and plenty of details. [Eater NY]
