The good news: The Barneys Co-op on Atlantic Avenue in Cobble Hill now has signage. The windows of the space, which occupies the ground floor of a newish rental building, are covered with paper bearing Barneys' signature cut-and-paste lettering. On one window, the floating head of Simon Doonan advises shoppers to send "BNY" and their email addresses to 50799 for Barneys text message alerts. So what's the bad news? Well, it looks like South Brooklyn won't be getting a big Barneys Fashion's Night Out celebration after all. Back in June, the projected opening date was September 10, but now it's been pushed back to October.
