SOHO AND WHOLEDI—Only Opening Ceremony could turn a marketing ploy into a charming trip down nostalgia lane. Starting September 1st, the company is selling $3 OC Candygrams, or personalized cards with lollipops that you can order for friends, family or a crush. You can order them via the phone or in store, but the receiver must pick their card up at an OC location—as if anyone needs candy to be tempted into the shop. [Official Site]
MONTAUK— This past weekend, Paul Arrouet proposed to his longtime girlfriend, fashion heiress and Dylan's Candy Bar owner Dylan Lauren. Ways in which the stars are like us: In keeping with traditional proposals, Paul popped the question on the beach at sunset with dozens of roses. Ways in which the stars are not like us: Dylan's future husband spelled out "You are my 'It' Girl" with candy bars.
