Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
With the long, hot summer finally drawing to a close and Fashion Week looming on the horizon, it's time for us to find some new interns. Are you an eager young go-getter who loves Racked NY and wants to earn college credit—or at least a line or two on your resume—for going to sample sales? Then you're in luck.
We're looking for interns with journalism in their blood to help us out from approximately September through the end of the year. Responsibilities include checking out new stores, braving the crowds at sales, and formatting many, many Dealfeeds. The pay shall be zero dollars and some drink (proper ID req'd); the hours, flexible; the glory, extreme; the possibility for this to grow into an even better opportunity, plausible. Applicants should be forewarned that there's a distinct chance that we will force you to get dressed up and go to fashion shows. (We're horrible people, we know.) If you're interested, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief description of yourself and your interest in the gig. No attachments, please. If we like what we see, we'll get back to you quickly. Thanks.
