Bon Appétit just announced that it will be sponsoring a cafe at Lincoln Center for Fashion Week. Located in the center's Avery Fisher Hall and open to the public, the bistro will serve three meals a day from celebrity chefs and big-name restaurants.
Breakfast involves Stumptown coffee and pastries from Le Bernardin, Baked NYC, and Momofuku Milk Bar. Lunch—soups, salads, sandwiches—comes from culinary stars like Rick Bayless, Emeril Lagasse, Cat Cora, and Bill Telepan. Wisely acknowledging that nobody wants to eat dinner in the tents but everyone wants a drink by the end of the day, the evening plan consists of wine and small plates from Mario Batali and Daniel Boulud. New Bon Appétit VP Carol Smith came from Elle, and she's convinced that the industries around eating and getting dressed have a lot in common—hence the cafe's tagline, "Where Food Meets Fashion."
