Aldo's Sister Line Spring To Open Its First NYC Spot This Weekend

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Affordable shoes are coming your way, Midtowners! Spring, a sister line to Aldo, is coming to the Manhattan Mall on Broadway and 33rd Street on Saturday, August 14. Get there around 9am to 9:30am to be the first to get hands on Spring shoes in the state ever. The line is new to the U.S. in recent years, but will be familiar to tourists from places like Canada, the Middle East, Asia, and other U.S. states, where over 200 Spring stores reign. (It might also be familiar to shoppers under its original name, Transit.)

Upon introducing ourselves to Spring via their official website, we could barely find any shoes that were labeled full-price. The most expensive shoes on the site were $60, but even most of those were cut to $44.98, and many of the summer flats and sandals average around $19.99 . It sounds pretty great, but then again, we don't know much about the quality. For those of you who have been to a Transit/Spring location, we would love to know what you think in the comments section.—Joann Pan
