Live Artists at Bloomingdale's; An Early Shot at DVF for Fall

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

MIDTOWN EAST—Keds! They're everywhere! And their collaboration with the Whitney and artist Jenny Holzer is a lot more exciting than their collab with the Gap (sorry, Patrick). To promote the arty shoes, Keds has taken over the windows of Bloomingdale's, where they've installed three young artists to do their thing live every day through July 21st. That's right: From 10:30am to 2pm and again from 4:30pm to 8pm every day, Jee Young Choi, Natalia Yovane and Erica Greenwald will be painting before the very eyes of consumers. They'll share the spotlight with yet another Keds customization machine. [Racked Inbox; Previously]

MEATPACKING DISTRICT—Next Tuesday, July 13, stop by the DVF store on 14th Street for an early look at the Fall 2010 collection. The trunk show lasts all day (11am to 7pm) and stars the label's favorite pieces, although the full collection will be available for pre-order. Cute bonus: They'll have a DVF stylist on hand to help you figure out how to wear your purchase. [Racked Inbox]
