Don't let the heat wave deter you from finding great deals at Privé's ">multi-designer sale on the west side of town in the Chelsea Market. In same space where Rag and Bone held their end-of-June blow-out, Privé has set up huge racks holding clothing by designers including Michael Kors, 7 For All Mankind, Tracy Reese and Theory.
The main thing that sets the two sales apart is the pricing. Currently, discounts level at 50% to 85% off. We saw Botkier bags for $149 to $199 beside $10 luxury candles and a small variety of discounted shoes. The footwear selection might be small, but there are lots of tops and bottoms to look through, including 7 For All Mankind skirts for $35 and pants for $60 plus Michael Kors tops for $35, sweaters for $45, and jackets for $60. And we loved the colorful, summer dresses from Tracy Reese's sub-brand Plenty, inspired by the beauty and mystery of India.
In the men's section, we found pants from 7 For All Mankind for $55, button-ups for $55, and sweaters for $40. Justin Timberlake's William Rast line also has a huge presence. And if you're looking for a Mario Batali lunchbox, you'll find one there—there's a whole area dedicated to miscellaneous housewares.—Joann Pan
