Surprises at Century 21: Piles of Pucci and DVF Under $100

It's that time again?the time when we spend hours digging through the mess of Century 21's racks in search of clearance designer gems, a bit like a pig sniffs deep in the soil for precious truffles.

So what'd we find? Well, unlike last time when we ran right into a treasure trove of past season Gareth Pugh and Rick Owens, this time it's all about the Pucci and Giorgio Armani. Beyond that, we found entire racks of "irregular" Maison Martin Margiela's MM6, Margiela Line 1, Lanvin, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Moschino, McQ by Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana (and D&G).

If for some reason you still need new swimwear, Pucci has you covered there too, plus a surprise rack of Fendi bikinis.

Diamonds in the rough included a Rachel Roy dress marked down from $715 to $40 (and not damaged as far as we could tell), three scattered racks of discount Diane Von Furstenberg all for about $90 and under, some Acne dresses and tons of Missoni'a trademark knits shoved here and there and everywhere.

We ended up majoring scoring on the DVF and Maison Martin Margiela Line 1 fronts, but there's still some left for you. Beware the summer tourist crowds. Avoid them if you can by going during the workday; otherwise be prepared to have those awful rolling shopping carts trip you up constantly.
