Chelsea Clinton Sneaks Into Vera Wang Wearing a Giant Hat

WWD snapped photos of Chelsea Clinton hiding under an enormous straw hat on her way into Vera Wang's Garment District showroom, and now the fashion world is freaking out. Why? Because it's been widely assumed that Chelsea would wear Oscar de la Renta to her July 31st wedding to Mark Mezvinsky. Complicating things further, Hillary Clinton was spotted at Oscar's Seventh Avenue showroom earlier that same day. And! It's possible that Chelsea was with her, but WWD couldn't confirm it—because of the hat.

Neither Wang nor De La Renta would comment, but it sounds like the former might be on bridesmaid duty while the latter might be in charge of the mother of the bride (Hillary and Oscar go way back.) As for Chelsea, perhaps she's wearing one dress for the ceremony and another for the reception, as is increasingly common these days. But nobody seems to know the answer to the most pressing question: Where did she get that hat?
