How to Get a Free Vuvuzela and 30 Percent Off Shoes at the South Street Seaport's Puma City

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Got a pair of gently worn shoes you'd be willing to part with? If so, you can take them to any of the city's Puma stores to receive 30% off a new pair, but we've got an even better idea. Take those shoes down to the limited-time-only Puma City at the South Street Seaport, where Puma has set up a small football field, a nightclub, a shirt customization service and two Puma stores in repurposed shipping containers.

It's in one of these container-shops that you'll find the $45 World Cup-edition Tekkies, featured earlier here. We suggest you trade in your old pair of shoes for 30% off one of these, since it's exactly what we did last night and it worked. Plus, if you end up spending over $50?as we did by buying two pairs (Italy and Germany)?they'll throw in a free vuvuzela. A vuvuzela with purchase is pretty much awesome, you can't deny.

Be warned however, as everything from the World Cup sneaks to the Puma City shop to the 30% discount with shoes donation only runs until July 11, when the World Cup declares a winner and the US goes back to not caring much about soccer.
