The Coclico sale at 670 Broadway in Noho opens to the public at noon, but we managed to get a sneak peek during their pre-opening day Friends and Family sale. Located in the Coclico showroom, the sale's got loads of goodies at great prices, including Coclico's own line of footwear, which is designed here in NYC but made from sustainable materials in Spain. (You might know the brand from their Mott Street store, or from its frequent appearances in the Anthropologie catalog.) Other labels we saw were Plastic Island, Rachel Comey, American Retro, and BA&SH.
We were exhilarated by the great selection of dresses and denim we found in the $29, $39, and $49 dollar baskets as well as by the three walls of shoes we just wanted to wrap our arms around. There were conveniently sized bags that we could fit our whole lives in—a cool $149 each—plus a smaller selection of chic clutches for $99. Our favorite finds were some fun and flirty Karen Zambos vintage dresses and more retro pieces from Paul & Joe's diffusion line Paul & Joe Sister.
The prices at this sale are down 70 percent, meaning they fall between $39 and $179. There's really only one downside: Coclico's showroom is small, and they won't be replenishing the stock. Make sure to go early before they run out of your size in strappy sandals, flirty tunics and a surprisingly large selection of leather boots you can always save for fall.—Joann Pan
